When was the last time Dre used that flow?

The last song I felt like he still had that semi-original Dre flow was "Talking to My Diary".  Which you could tell that song was a leftover from Detox, before he went in the Compton direction.  He had a little slower swagger to his rhymes, and a slightly deeper cadence.

I mean it's no surprise given that the guy who was writing for him back in 2002 wrote these songs too

Compton Dre sucks because JT and King Mez are trash ghostwriters and their style doesn't fit Dre at all

probably the 1 negative that I would have on "Compton" would be Dre's sped up flow...but that's not even on every track

Snoop was definitely the highlight for me on "Missionary" but everything else from the production to the songs themselves were subpar...If you asked me what my favorite track on it is I couldn't tell you, that's how unmemorable it was

Music for me marks time. I was going through a lot of personal bullshit and stress around the time Compton came out and listening to that album over and over kinda helped me keep my mind off of shit so that alone will have Compton in a special place for me so it would be hard for me to say anything bad about Compton. Sure it's not a Chronic or 2001 bu I still enjoy the shit. As for Missionary, I enjoy that album as well. Some of y'all were expecting a Doggystyle 2 or some shit which 25 years later doesn't make since to me. I'm a little older probably than a lot of cats on here and actually from LA so maybe my expectations and ears are a lil different than most. I was 18 fresh out of high school when Doggystyle dropped so at my age and the age of Dre and Snoop, this is what is welcomed in my opinion. I don't want Snoop to pull old Game (rappin about running through LA gangbangin on every song like Documentary 2) I like it for what it is. I think Dre and company's production was high end, layered, and attention to detail in the tracks that has always been Dre's touch. For those that say ot lacks that low end, I don't know, I'm a headphone junky I listen to it on a lot of high end headphones as well as a nice system in the car so the bass is there for me. I think Jimmy should have been kept from the creative decision making as I feel he'd responsible for the inclusion of some of those songs that don't fit like Thank You, Outta the Blue, and the song with Sting. If I had to pick,  I'm going with Compton

Sonically, like if you listen through headphones, mixing wise, I'd have to give it up to Missionary. - The Mix (Missionary - The Winner)
As far as features, I'd have to give it to Missionary. Some of the features I got bored of fast on Compton. - The Features (Missionary - The Winner)

Quik's Grove is an amazing song off that album, that one song is better than anything Missionary or Compton.  Too bad Suga Free was originally on it (can still hear him in the ad libs) and Game put himself in the first verse and tried to rap just like him.  Should've kept Free on the first verse, and had Game do the last one.

Shiiit the doc 2/2.5 was better than both these albums combined
