ICE CUBE - MAN UP (Official Discussion)
Laconic5261:
Bring Everybody is funky as hell and the scratching on this album is excellent. This album, like Man Down, continues to grow on me the more I listen to it 8)

as i said before, it is one his weakest links in his discography for me, but im still a fan, cube still drops some real bars and he still raps very good, even if it is same as 30 years ago.
i believe as long as cube has hunger to rap and drop albums, he still has potential to do classics. he should give a fuck about production and beats more.

The album was better than last one but being and doesn’t have reply value, he need to get e a ski to produce the whole album and it will be dope

I think this was his best job at beat selection in awhile, which isn't saying much. I admit that his beats do sound dated, but I'm still a fan of the old west coast sound so its all good with me. It did sound like Cube actually put some money into mixing and mastering on this one, which my speakers appreciated.
it would be cool to see Cube or some of the more established artists use more current producers.
