Sessions for the 2nd album was around the same time DJ Quik was working on Compton Style/Safe & Sound. The album was due to come out again on Ruthless Records but everything went down hill when Eazy-E died. Ruthless decided to put all the money and backing on Bone Thugs and the album was shelved. To me DJ Quik's production peaked around this time so this must be an amazing album, working on trying to get more songs.

I'd definitely pay for that album 8)
Always wanted Status in CDQ from Quik too. I think that was a Safe + Sound leftover.

So Suga Free's first album came out on Island Black Music which folded in 1999. Black Tone started looking for a new record label, he put together a 4 song DAT which contained "Inside Out", "Come Inside", "Let's Get 2gether" & "Na Na" to shop it around. At one point "Na Na" was going to part of "Q4" which molded into "Rhythm-Al Ism" but was removed. The Original 2nd Suga Free album is totally different then what came out, to me it seemed like DJ Quik at one point became jealous of Suga Free's growing fame and just stopped working on the 2nd album. Then there was a incident at DJ Quik's home studio with Suga Free that I can't really speak on but that pretty much ended their relationship for a long time. DJ Quik even dissed him on A Shawn Anthony track called "Smoke Good, Drank Good", yes they are friends again but it was never the same.
