rakim was on aftermath for how long now? i think its been way TOO long...and we still don't hear shit bout his album...don't u think somethin is up man? seriously...and if dre did sign EVE to aftermath...that just proves that dre is only droppin albums that thinks its gonna sell...u know..the mainstream, commercial, mtv shit...he is a business man...i like rakim and all...but i really don't think his album will even go platinum...while someone like eve...she will probably sell over a milliion units or more...

Here is something that everyone should be aware of and remember:

Rakim: "I'ma keep that a little secret, in terms of the artists and some of the producers who are gonna do tracks.  I wanna try  to surprise the world as much as possible, 'cause that's one of the things that's missing in hop-hop: the surprise.  There's so much pre-album hype; the people already know everything.  But it's been awaited so long, man... I wanna try to surprise and give them something good."


This should explain why we don't know shit about the album.

I don't see any signs of Eve being signed to Aftermath but anyways he should go platinum if they want him to.  The 18th Letter and The 18th Letter/The Book Of Life both went gold.  That's with no guest apperances, Pete Rock and DJ Premier as the biggest producers and on only one video.

I really dont think dre would fuck-over someone like Rakim. Dre would piss alot of people off fuckin' Rakim over. The album will drop, i gaurntee that, but i think dre has more sense than to fuck Rakim... I dont think Ra would stand for it either.
