This doesn't seem terrible to me. In my mind, I figured he was going to do something like 20k. No physicals available just yet. No major label backing. He had a nice buzz off the Verzuz but this drop sort of came out of nowhere. Also, that whole narrative that he had a 'stimulus' with the Drake feature is bogus. I didn't even realize it was Drake on the song until I saw the actual feature list lol.

I love four or five songs and that's enough for me.
The Pen, Love it or Hate it, and especially I Won't be Afraid and Game Recognize Game.   What I like about these songs aside from the great production and rapping is that they are all FULL songs of 3 and a half to 5 mins, a refreshing length in these times

The Documentary III is the third entry in The Game's flagship series, following 2005's classic The Documentary and 2015's The Documentary 2 / 2.5. At 24 tracks and 87 minutes, the album feels bloated, with strong moments scattered far apart. The first The Documentary is a classic, and the second holds up surprisingly well despite its double-header length. This one is meh for us. There is little objectively wrong with it, but it is an exhausting listen. Maybe The Game fatigue, fueled by his real-life antics, plays a role in us underappreciating this album.

The production, anchored by Cool & Dre and Mike & Keys, stays solid throughout. The feature roster is massive, with Drake appearing twice, Kanye West linking up on "40 Nights," and Lil Wayne delivering a clever verse on "Steppers." Snoop Dogg, YG, Tyga, E-40, Black Thought, and Marsha Ambrosius round out the guest list. Standouts include "Meet the Parents," where The Game reflects on family trauma and suicidal ideation, and "I Won't Be Afraid," which features technically skilled rapping from Black Thought. "Geezus" and "The Pen" offer vivid storytelling, but too many tracks feel disposable. "In the Way" with Tyga sounds like a 2014 club song, and "40 Nights" ends unsatisfyingly. Strong moments exist, but they are far between on a bloated tracklist.

I miss the days when proper journalism and proper reviews were still prevalent in music because in big 2026, it is so weird to see that people are impacted by someone's antics outside of the music. Like, how do you listen to a song and then say, "It's cool...actually, I remember when Game threw up Blood with both hands...he's trying too hard....never mind, this song is wack now.".

The Game visited Big Boy in studio in August 2026 for this all new interview celebrating the release of the Documentary 3 and clearing up direct comments Game has made about Drake, Kendrick Lamar, YG, 50 Cent, Blacc Sam and more...

The Game explains the true motivation behind putting Drake on his album and what their connection is.  The Game tells us why putting Drake on his album the Documentary 3 may upset people but its ultimately Game's decision to make the best music possible so he made the decision.  The Game explains his recent comments about why his relationship with Blacc Sam has been different since Nipsey Hussle passed away.  Why can't the Game get Kendrick Lamar on the phone?  This question is also explored and answered.

Game answers the question why so many people hate him and whose fault is it that so many people hate him?!?!  The Game explains how the legends of hip hop still inspire him to make more hit music.  Why do E40, Snoop Dogg, Too Short and more long term hip hop veterans motivate the Game to still making the best music he can?

Long, mixin with LA UG and mainstream as featurings and producers too.

game is halfway through mixtape and album rapper.

A lot of rappers started with mix-tapes, 50 and G-Unit before him.

50 even sounded just as good on the mix-tapes as on his debut at times, one of the songs even made it on 8-Mile -



G-Unit were droppin so much free heat on mix-tapes and kicked off a renewed mix-tape era, Jimmy Iovine even blamed them for declining record sales 

Even Dre and them were doing mix-tapes at first.

Game had a great run with the anti-G-Unit mix-tapes, jackin their songs to diss them on legally plus dope original shit on it and the pre-doc ones got him the buzz and Dre's attention.
He was rappin heavy on them, even though Alchemist correctly once stated said ''less is better'' about '300 Bars'.
