We've talked a lot already about the Pippen Blazers series...But how about that Kings series?

Went all the way to Game 7 overtime!!   Bobby Jackson and Mike Bibby were playing out of their mind!!!  That's what I remember most.  Those two guys weren't the biggest stars in the game—But they were phenomenal in that series with big clutch shots.  Those two guys showed a lot of heart.

I just recently went back and watched full games from this series because I’m looking for clips of Bill Walton saying throw it down big man throw it down.  Still haven’t found it.

one of the greatest 7 game series' in nba history .. hands down

blazers and kings were great teams.. both would have rings if not for that laker dynasty

oh man come on man those guys were amazing back in those days.  The game calls were so great and something we took for granted because they were always great in those years.

I love Bill Walton but my favorite all-time game call and favorite all time NBA Game is of course Game 6 Bulls Jazz 98 with:

Costas - The Michael Jordan of commentators
Doug Collins -  Former Bulls coach had great insight into MJ, Scottie, Phil, Bulls organization.  Basketball expert and enthusiast, good sense of humor and relationship with co-commentators
Isiah Thomas -  Doug had played in the NBA, but it was great to have one guy on the team that had played in the same era as these guys.  Had played alongside Rodman and battled Jordan, Scottie, and Malone.  Charismatic, smart, passionate about the game.

Other favorites:

Hubie Brown - not the flashest guy but really intelligent and insightful
Johnny Red Kerr - die hard bulls commentator, fatherly figure
Vern Linquist - such a nice guy
Danny Ainge - loved hearing Danny Ainge on a call.  Such a great guy, and golfing buddies with Jordan, Barkley and all those guys.  Played at the highest level with Celtics, Blazers, Suns.  Great locker room sense of humor kind of guy.
Ahmad Rashad - on the sidelines, Jordan's homeboy, knew all the players personally.  Professional and had the inside info.  Great guy.

So many good ones we were really blessed in that era.  I know Jeff Van Gundy had a pretty good run in the Kobe years.

ESPN/ABC have been a detriment to the NBA...replacing them with Doris Burke a few years ago was wild
