'
Parcells and Vinny was a great year too.  Parcells is an amazing coach, and Vinny a great competitor.  That was a cool team.

You guys also had that running back Thomas Jones.  He came over to the Chiefs for a year after he left the Jets

Rex was decent...he could definitely coach defense...Sanchez might be the worst QB to ever make 2 consecutive championship games

that '98 team was my favorite Jet team...I really thought they had a shot...I didnt feel that way the 2 teams in this decade

But all these Jets teams you are mentioning never really seemed that talented.  They seemed to be winning big games by luck or turnovers, or getting motivated by Rex Ryan or Parcells.  Which does make it more exciting when they play over their heads like that.

I loved Rex Ryan back when he was a coach.  It's more as a commentator that he started to seem like a moron to me.  But back when he was with the Jets he was one of my favorite coaches.

true we never had the most talent...in 2015 we had Ryan Fitzpatrick who had a great year for us with 31 td passes and Vinny had that great year in '98 but other than that you have to go back to the 80s to find a really talented team...2015 was also the last winning season we had so its been a drought to say the least

That's pretty bad when a New York team in a New York market can't seem to get it together.  In all my years as a Chiefs fan we have always expected to win against the Jets.  There was never a season that I watched (1990 was my first year, the Jets Ken O'Brien 8-8 6th seed year) there has never been a year that the Chiefs played the Jets when we didn't go in with confidence that it was a very winnable game.

Ken O Brien had a pretty good Jets career...unfortunately most of that came before I started watching football around 1988-89
