yeah you were right...Nolan McLean has been the one constant but even he's been inconsistent at times
the trade for Freddy Paralta has been a complete bust...so much so that his trade value is almost nill...at this point I would cut him just to get rid off him...and this dude is looking for a 200 million plus contract at the end of this year
Clay Holmes was our most consistent starter but he went down in May with a leg injury and is probably out till August
so basically we have McLean, Peralta, and Manea in the rotation...the other 2 days we have an opener for an inning or 2 and then a bulk guy comes in for the majority, usually a guy like a Senga who was 0-7 with a 9.00ERA
as a starter this year
Oh and our manager was fired about a week ago

yeah, exactly as I predicted. I think a team MUST HAVE 5 legit starters to begin the season. A team can't have 2 question marks the way the Mets did to start the year, and just hoping they work out.
the reason why is mostly for health reasons. Of the 3 legit starters, one or two of them is going to go on the DL (Clay Holmes) at some point in the year or get some year ending injury like Tommy John. Another guy may just have a down year ((Freddy Peralta) — which could also be related to his arm not being as healthy as a previous year but not officially diagnosed as an injury))
So 5 legit starters can very quickly turn into 1 legit starter — as is the case with the Mets. Which brings your win probably down 1 out of every 5 games, or maybe you get lucky and the other team has some guy from Triple AAA on the mound and now it boosts to 2 out of 5 games. But bottom line, it's a guaranteed losing season.
ROYALS
...The Royals entered the year with 7 legit starting pitchers. One (Ryan Bergert) got injured before the season even started. Former Cy Young Candidate Cole Ragans is out for the year, last years All-Star Chris Bubic is out for the year. So, the Royals went from 7 legit starters to open the year and now down to 4. We have a developing young guy in Luindar Ovila who has steadied the ship enough to get us back up to 5 legit starters.
But as a side note, our relievers got bombed. Last years top closer Estevez out for the year, Lucas Erceg went from being lights out to suddenly getting nobody out, and Matt Strahm will be invited to pitch the homerun derby for the All-Star game because that all he's done is give up homeruns. And our GM went out and got all these Quadruple AAAA level hitters supposedly "raising the floor" of our offense — Issac Collins, Lane Thomas, Starling Marte, etc. But it ended up being that Bobby Whitt Jr. and Rookie catcher Carter Jenson have been the ONLY consistent bats in the entire lineup.
I don't know if you've heard this phrase yet in baseball, "RAISING THE FLOOR"? But it's bullshit. (It means you supposedly have guys to "stabilize" the bottom of the order)

Yo homie... what'd you think of the first game of the series? Did you see our young phenoms Carter Jenson and Jac Cagliogne? Bobby Witt didn't do too much other than beating out a couple of key double plays that could've changed the game. Your shortstop didn't field one of them cleanly. But I think Soto made a nice play and stole a double from Salvador Perez.
It was one of our most exciting games of the year. Seeing a bumb from Triple AAA Tyler Tolbert—the last guy on our roster—get the record for 12 consecutive hits in 12 consecutive plate appearances!! That energized our whole team.
16-12, what a crazy score. Senga looks good, because you always think the Asian guys are never going to make a mistake, but we certainly got to him. I like that your team uses an opener. I think that strategy makes a lot of sense.
Your lineup seems to be struggling after the top two-three guys in the lineup.
...we got to see/hear Eric Hosmer call the game as color commentator for the KC broadcast so he kept recalling memories from being in the NY stadium in 15. It was probably the most entertaining game the Royals have had this year
I think the Royals are hot right now and energized by Tolbert. We may sweep the series and restore some small bit of hope for our season before the All-Star break

lol.. Senga is 0-7 with a 9.00ERA... damn homie, you are ruining my high from yesterday... so you mean Tyler Tolbert really isn't the next Kenny Loftin and the Royals aren't actually an offensive powerhouse?!? Damn
