Dr. Dre: Is the Chronic King Plotting One Last Big Move?

<< < (2/10) > >>

gfunk2024:
There is no way Dre goes out w/ that disaster called Missionary and Compton. IMO it eats at him how those 2 albums came out. He wants to go out with a gigantic game changing hit. Don't know if he will do it though.

i don't think we can compare missionary and compton lol

compton is at least regarded by many as a cult classic.. regardless of the wide range of opinions, it was never received as poorly as missionary by the consensus

and it also gave us anderson paak + charted and received a plaque

Each to their own but Cult classic! You just made me spit my coffee out bwoy. That's the first time I heard that one. Apart from a couple of half decent tracks I dont know anyone who even considers it a good album let alone throwing around the word classic.

go back to the original thread on this forum

it has a cult following

the layering on the album is impeccable .. it's impressive to any student of music .. and a classic to me + many others from that perspective

is it a chronic or 2001 level classic? of course not .. but still a classic relative to its time
