Checkin, why the hell does Mugg's not return to that smoky Soul Asassins sound or evolve it.

His new sounds are mostly bland and dull, i did like these two newish ones though -




Respect to Mugg's for never switching over to G-Funk when that wave hit the west-coast, Cypress/SA had their own distinct shit.

But are there any Mugg G-Funk beats?
Would of been interesting to hear what he would of cooked up at the time.
Dre did a G-Funk remix on one of their later singles (not any of the classic ones), and the reviews were you cant polish a turd.

That rock shit they did on the later albums was wack and Mugg's himself did not approve of that direction, but Sen-Dog's was a rock band type of guy.

But this early 90s cross-over shit with Mugg's trademark dark sound was ill and also a great weed anthem -



Miss that dusty Mugg's sound, not even his protege Alchemist who is the better producer right now ever matched it -




Muggs beat was savage on this and Cube murdered it, i remember once coming home blazed up from school and lied down with boom box speakers behind my head, closed my eyes and played that shit at full pelt, i felt like i was there in the middle of the burning L.A. riots,

The following shit was smooth and dark, the ghostly video captured the haunting atmosphere of Mugg's sound perfect with the nazi skinhead running in fear of his life whilst Cypress rapped in a graveyard getting ready to bury him, the sampling of the Black Sabbath 'Wizard' harmonica was sick -



and Mugg's biggest beat was for the Irish-American hip-hop SA crew House Of Pain led by Everlast, the super mega world-wide stadium anthem hit smash and greatest use of unknown sample piece that sounds like horses/bag-pipes -
