COMPTON VS. MISSIONARY ... WHICH DO YOU PREFER?

I do think people should give the Missionary album another chance if you didn't like it when it first released.

I've gone back to albums many years later that I never really gave the time of day to because I was listening to other stuff at the time and ended up loving what I'm hearing after giving it another go.

Of course context plays a part such as your mood and what you're doing when you're listening.

I'm not saying people's opinions will change but it's really not that bad an album at all when considered alongside Snoop's other albums.

this has happened to me as well...interestingly enough it was with 2 other Snoop albums Tha Doggfather and Da Game...so I probably will give it another chance...I don't remember much about Missionary at all but what I do remember is that Snoop sounded as good as he had in years and was the bright spot of the whole album...I guess I was probably disappointed in Dre's production more than anything...The ICU or whatever they're called were definitely not as good as what he had in the past

I have chance to doggfather and i still feel the same as first day. it is decemt album but way under expactations after an album like "doggystyle". Mixing wise and "banging" wise it doesnt sound dope ıt sounds cheap, amateur and ordinary. It could have been a classic if it was mixed and executive produced by dr dre, but i think dj pooh didnt have the calibre to do it. Pooh is a good producer but not the best mix engineer.

I agree with you about the mixing on Tha Doggfather, it was definitely subpar...my favorite tracks were mixed by mostly Dave Arron...I loved Pooh's work on Dogg Food but I don't know what happened here
