yeah man that shit was too impressive these younger fans that are morons and think how fast you can rap means how talented you are... but as both Slick Rick and Snoop have demonstrated and explained so well, the Ol School 80's and 90's era it was about everyone having a unique style, and not "biting" another artist that was important.  So it was how unique was your style -- that's how artists were judged in the golden era

Like I love a track where Em is rapping slower like he did on the SSLP or like he even went back to later in his career for what I think is maybe his best post-Proof dying after his prime track "Guts Over Fear" -- he raps very slow, but it's a great, great song and his best most recent track:
