Chicago, Illinois.. considered Midwest, but it's right between Midwest & The South.. isn't it ?
I always considered Twista repping the South, working with Timbaland, and a bunch of Southside rappers and a lot of South-inspired production.

Illinois is in the north mid west...but the chi has a lotta ties to the south...do or die, snypaz and dorasel all on rap-a-lot...and work with southern producers...crucial conflict were country...da brat has worked with jd all her career...shawna now works with dtp...luda is originally from the chi too...so its only right for twista to work with the south...plus his delievery fits south beats...

well illinois borders the greatlakes if im not mistaken...to me thats pretty north...but its really just atl and chi that have that connection...aside from that...most of the southern artists are born and raised southern...
