They talked about that already, and the players said that they wouldn't show up if a team was in Mexico. No one in the NBA, or the MLB, or the NFL wants to play in Mexico full time. They said it's not healthy to play in Mexico full time.

So there will not be a professional sports team in Mexico ever.

Professional athletes just don't want to play in Mexico and you can't compare having a NBA team in Canada to possibly having a team in Mexico. Canada is a lot like the USA in climate and money and health wise, that's why there are only professional sport teams in Canada and the USA.
