Most actors have done comedys and shit tho haven't they. When I watch The Matrix I look at Reeves and think Neo I don think about Bill & Ted or any of that.
People who can't really get into the whole charachter of the movie are the people who complain. I bet these people also think about Die hard when they watch Bruce Willis in the 6th Sense. These people think about Leathal Weapon when they see Mel Gibson in Signs. These people think about top gun when they see Tom Cruise in Minority Report. People are just dumb enough to let their minds run while they are watching a movie.
