Haha, i just saw it again... and bar none.. that scene says it all... just thinking about it gets me tingles down my spine...this time i went with my brother... he said the scene scared him too....
(the following might spoil it for those who haven't seen it)
But anyway... I realized what this movie is all about after seeing it again... it's not about a takeover, but about "FATE" ... the reverend thinks his wife died because he was 'unlucky' ... but her death was suppose to happen.... so she could protect him and the family during this ordeal.... that's why she tells her husband to "see" ... you need to "see" that there is fate.... im dying for a reason... you need to 'see' it... and tell merrill to 'swing away' .... and then when he saves his son... he says "was I saved" and the dad says "yea someone saved you" and he looks at the sky... as if he was looking at his wife in heaven.
dope ass movie... the whole 'fate' things i awesome...

Great Movie.. wasnt as scary as i thought but that shit made me jump.. especially the birthday party scene and the end when they look into the TV..
and i thought i was the only who knew about that all everything is coincidental like he was explaing to meryl on the couch.. but you forgot about the girl and how the water being certain ways bothered her and she placed them in different places and thats how they knew whut killed the alien and the lil boy had asthma so when you get an asthma attack, your lungs close and when the poison was injected into his noise.. it didnt go in.. really great movie for ppl. who dont believe in GOD and it was real sad how his wife died.. i would've questioned my faith too.. i kinda thought that they could've got way more into depth with the aliens invading and the ppl. that died, and i was wondering why he let that one alien go and didnt go in the pantry and kill it.. well was it just me or did the alien look just like a stereotypical alien?? i also thought like millions of aliens weregoing to pop out cuz they were able to camouflage and shit.. also if we got scared just by a movie, imagine in real life!?

Well I doubt they wanted aliens to come and wip are asses because frankly any film that is made from now until the end of time where Aliens attack Earth is going to be compared to Inderpendance day.
