On the 101 Most Shocking Moments in Entertainment, the death of Tupac was ranked #13, ahead of the death of James Dean, the breakup of the Beatles, and the paralysis of Christopher Reeves.

I don't totally agree with their order on things, but the funniest part was when #3 came up, they showed a fucked up picture of Michael Jackson, and said "Michael Jackson has already been on our list 5 times"

Like for instance they put the death of Marilyn Monroe about the death of Elvis... are they crazy?  This wasn't the most shocking moments, this was more like the most papparazzi field-day moments.  That's why Di is so high on the list, it thrust the papparazzi into the twilight, same thing with O.J., Michael Jackson, etc. the papparazzi went crazy when all this happened, they're living in their own little jaded world and don't realize how the rest of the world took these 'shocking' moments.  Elvis & John Lennon's death were probably the two most shocking entertainment moments, imo.  

There's some song out now, and the guy goes

"I was just a kid when Elvis died.... and my Momma cried"

That's how big that was, people stopped what they were doing and started crying and shit.  Same thing with John Lennon, Kelsey Grammer was on this thing, and he said he was walking in the park, and some cop came by, and said "John Lennon just got shot..." and they both looked stunned... If it was so big people were talking about it on the street to total strangers, then it was BIG.

yea and seer you say that means the world accepting they are linked which isnt proven...we say the death of pac & big here all the time...i think the world pretty much thinks they are linked whether its true or not...even for us knowing its not proven we still link the 2 in the world of hip hop
