Jay ay Beee:
It's Kirkland

Deadline day for transfers, Feyenoord have told Houllier that Dudek won't be leaving, Houllier panics, as he only has one day Coventry hold him to ransom and he pays 9 and a half million (i think) for Kirkland but while he is doing that Feyenoord have decided Dudek can leave after all so Houllier begs his board to let them buy Dudek as well.

Then they tried to spin it to the media like they were meant to do it lol

Stupid scousers

That probably gave him his heart attack

Whoops

Joachim:
Dudek plays for the cameras, i watched the Liverpool game the other night, he parries/punches everything and jumps around for the sake of it, im not a fan.

£9.5 mill for Kirkland? Hahaha thats hilarious, Liverpool will end up like Leeds that way.

Whats y'all thoughts on is Diouf, Diao and Baros?

Jay ay Beee:
I watch neither of the Liverpool games because they were on at the same time as United both days and because they are extremely boring to watch

I heard Barros was excellent, Houllier actually handled his transfer very intelligently by shielding him from any media attention by purchasing that waster Anelka at exactly the same time.  Whether Houllier meant this I don't know.  If it was Pinnochio that did it he definitely didn't mean it.

To be fair to Liverpool they were in for both Diuf and Diao before the World Cup, so it's not like they were flash in the pan signings like Poborsky/Suker etc.  I think Diouf will cause problems in the dressing room, I don't think he's a team player but maybe Houllier can change him.  Even then he won't break in to the Owen/Heskey partnership.

Diao seems a squad player to me. Bouba Diop, Fadiga and Cisse all outshined him in the World Cup in midfield.

They need a winger, Duff is logical, but I don't think Duff will move until next summer.  I'd be very upset if Duff didn't come to us because look who our covering wingers for Giggs and Beckham are.

bez:
Kirkland will be good in the future tho, I think he will get a few games in the cups next season.

baros is a good player, always has been and I think will be, he needs a bit of first team footy tho.

Diouf seems a great player but the question is if he can adjust to the english style of play, same with diao.

Joachim:
Diouf looks a similar style of player to Anelka, superb attacking but piss poor defensively, should do aight.

Not seen much of Diao, he wasnt impressive in the Senegal/France match, but with Gerrards inability to stay fit he should get a fair crack at the first team.

Baros is an out and out goal scorer, if he can build a strike partnership with Owen he'll be great, but theres gonna be huge competition for first team strikers at Anfield.

This year i think 'Boro could do well with Maccarone, Juninho and Boateng.

So whos going down this year then? I reckon Sunderland and maybe West Brom, i dunno who else, it'll be mad tight down there this year.
