--- Quote from: Don Jacob Corleone on July 26, 2003, 03:06:16 PM ---jesus prayed to god (or himself) as a human......not to worship himself, but to set an example
he wasn't worshiping himself if that's what you're trying to get at here.
he prayed to god to show how to have a walk with god
--- End quote ---
but acording you yall, he WAS God, so basicly he WAS worshiping himself according to yall.... ive asked that uqestion to alotta priests, none of them could formulate an answer
--- End quote ---
you'd have an argument here if he was worshiping himself
jesus's life as man was metaphoric to how WE as christians should live....so him praying was an example of how to pray
his whole purpose of coming down to earth as man was not to say horray i'm god and you're not, worship me......no it was to be the sacrifice of man and to show us how to live.
--- End quote ---
so "God" came down to earth, let people spit at him, punish him, misstreat him, and then he asked himself for permision to hold all mankind's sins on his shoulder...
that make no sense.....
--- End quote ---
yeah basically........why are you so hell bent on trying to undermind my religion, just becuase your ignorance towards my religion makes no sense to you.....doesn't mean my religion is wrong. i could easily find all faults in your religion too if it was in my heart.....but hey the fact that you show what or rather who is in yours , contents my mind.
