while i wouldnt say hes the greatest i will agree with mousehowl to a point...sage has a hell of a lot of talent...anyone ever hear the freestyle he did over the super mario bro's beat? that was dope...as far as the greatest rapper in my opinion...my top 5 are:

2.Guru
3.2pac
4.Biggie
5.Jay-Z

i don't agree with those live performances actually. layzie bone only for example is much better already :P but i'm not saying he's the best, i don't think there is a rapper that has had more success in his carreer than ll cool j.
