Official "Rock City" vs. "Rock City 2.0" thread

Ok, I'm on a mission to prove that the Euro version (1.0) 0wns the U.S.-version(2.0).

Let's first look at the tracks that appear on both CD's.

Intro (It's Tuesday) - Same intro.. pretty good shit.
My Friend - Same Premo-beat on both tracks.. solid, but not amazing.
You can't touch me - Same average filler.. equally poor.
Let's go - Same track also.. pretty good.. both Royce & Twista rips it.
D-Elite - Same track.. pretty average.
Boom - Same Premo-banger.. hot
Who am I - Also pretty average.. and the same track
Sausage (skit) - On both, but it's placed after a track on RC 1.0.. a track by itself on 2.0
Life - Class track.. Royce rips that shit.. beat and chorus is dope too.

Same tracks, but redone beat

Rock City
vs.              --> 2nd version is slowed and dumbed down, 1st version 0wns.
Rock City 2.0

Getcha Paper
vs.              --> Same track, new name.. beat sounds far worse on 2nd version
Off Parole

Unique tracks on Rock City 1.0

We live (Danger) - Dope ass track, I wonder why the hell they took this off..
maybe because they had used it on GTA3.. near classic.. 4.75 of 5
D-Elite pt.2 - Sweeeet Alchemist-beat.. D-Elite is about equal with D-12, but that doesn't say much.. some coo verses.. good for a posse-cut.. 4 of 5
She's the one - Another Neptunes-leftover, but it's pretty funky compared to "Mr.Baller".. catchy chorus. 3.5 of 5
What would you do - I didn't like this at first.. but it grows on you like crazy.. Royce kills it.. Royce even kills the chorus.. 3.5 of 5

Unique tracks on Rock City 2.0

Mr.Baller ft. Clipse - Only on RC 2.0.. wack as fuck.. leftover Neptunes-beat. Totally uninteresting, a damn shame.. 0.5 of 5
Take his life - Pretty uninteresting too.. filler.. beat is sub-par.. 2.5 of 5
Nickel Nine is - This however, is pretty good.. not mindblowing, but solid. 3.5 of 5
Soldiers Story - Not amazing, but pretty good.. can get boring.. 3.5 of 5
King of Kings - Dope track.. nice addition to the album for once. 4 of 5

Conclusion:

Similar tracks: Advantage Rock City 1.0, simply for hiding the skit.. pretty equal though.

Same tracks with redone beat: Advantage Rock City 1.0, both the new beats/pace sounds horrible compared to the OG.

Unique tracks: Rock City 1.0 = 4 unique tracks and 15.75 points
Rock City 2.0 = 5 unique tracks and 14     points

Even with more unique tracks, vol.2 ends up with less points, due to fillers.
Rock City 1.0 is a 4.5 mic album
Rock City 2.0 is a 4    mic album.. imo.

By removing "You can't touch me", "D-Elite" and "Who am I" from the 1st version, and inserting "King of Kings" and the unreleased "I'm the King", the 1st version could have been classic, imo.
The 2nd version could use a lot of changes though.

True..the first album is ahead of the poorer second version imo 2...

...i was confused when i went into hmv and saw they changed the format...cos the first one disappeared off the shelves at first when the second one was to get released...now ya gotta pay an extra £4 to get version 1 instead of 2.

Only 2 opinions on this.. ?
If it was Eminem Show vs. Marshall Mathers LP, this thread would have gotten 100 replies.

First off, yes, "Mr. Baller" is trash and has no business being on either album or even being created.  That goes for "You Can't Touch Me" also.

I'd need to see the actual tracklisting for Rock City to make a judgement on which on is better but the two tracks I've mentioned are the only flaws I see on Rock City 2.0.  One thing I know is that I would skip 4 tracks on Rock City and skip 2 on Rock City 2.0.  I've even come around on "Off Parole".  I think "Who Am I" is a excellent track, good concept, he brings something different.  And I like "Take His Life" more than Jome too I guess, I think it's really good.

I give Rock City 2.0 a 8.5/10

"We live (Danger)" is a reason to buy the first version alone..
Here's the OG tracklist:

1. Intro (It's tuesday)
2. Rock City feat. Eminem
3. Get'cha Paper feat. Tre' Little (a.k.a Off Parole)
4. We Live (Danger)
5. You can't touch me
6. Let's go feat. Twista
7. D-Elite pt.1
8. D-Elite pt.2 ft. D-Elite (Tre' Little, Cha Cha, Jah 5'9, Cut Throat & Billy Nix)
9. She's the one feat. Tre' Little
10. Boom
11. What would you do
12. Who am I
13. Life feat. Amerie
14. My Friend

Track 2 & 3 got new beats for Rock City 2.0

For some reason I was thinking that "Sausage (skit)" was a track on Rock City, but it's the other way around.  So I would skip 3 tracks on each.

I think they are about equal.  The first one gets points for "We Live (Danger)" but doesn't have "King Of Kings" which might be his best song next to "Boom".  Whatever, both are great IMO and pretty much equal.
