1. no, technically he's very average

2. that opinion is only unpopular on this board. I can't generally say that myself, but there are more great east coast albums that there are great west coast albums, and it has a longer history...and NY is the rap capital, no doubt, still some west coast releases can fuck with anything

3. a lot of it is, yeah. it just used to sound better IMO, i never cared for content, except in the case of songs that really portrayed street life, but "i'll push yo wig back with this 44, bitch ass nigguh" was never interesting...but the style and music of gangsta rap has changed and i agree on it having changed for the worse...generally
