From what I remember reading at the time, it was all russo. Just like the Vince Russo's very own title run. I'm not sold on him. He ruined WCW.

McMahon is a lot more rational than Russo..thats why its an okay combination.  And the Mae Young thing was Russo era..as was Austin beating the Rock (which i dont see the problem)..and Russo has said that he doesnt regret anything he did in wcw--including giving russo the title.
