Tyson Vs. Lewis (Part 2)

<< < (2/5) > >>

Wont happen, Tyson is finished.  The only way he cud get another shot is by him fighting holyfield for the number 1 contendership and beating him.  But I cant see this happening cos Holyfield will claim he is already number 1 contender cos he beat Rahman so Tyson is in literal terms FUCKED.

Holyfield has been washed up for along time so if he can face Lewis for the third time then Tyson can definitely step up to Tyson a second time.

Mike has a better chance then Holyfield anyday. Holyfield couldn't even beat John Ruiz fairly.

The Big Bad Ass:
^^ Good point.

i honestly think that Tyson/Holyfield III would draw a bigger response then Tyson/Lewis II. Tyson really jus got MOPPED up on saturday. I mean, if this was ANY other fighter then Tyson...everyone would be saying "why did he get a shot at the title??" Who has he beat to make him #1 contender? no one. The ONLY quality fighter hes faught in the last 5 yrs was Holyfield (who beat him wit ease int he first fight, and was winnin easily the second fight). Tyson got this title shot, because he's the bigger draw at the box office, and thas it. Boxing is about money more then anything. Other sports are the same, but NONE as bad as boxing. Tyson should have to prove himself and move up in the rankings just like ANY other fighter. And if he faught Holyfield again, Holyfield would beat his ass again...for sure. Ive alwayz been a Holyfield fan, and even tho i KNEW Lewis would take this fight against Tyson(hes just a better boxer), part of me wanted Tyson to win. Getting a title shot against Lewis will be much harder then getting a title shot against Tyson, for the reason that Lewis has already beat Holyfield...when Tyson has lost to him twice. I do agree that Lewis/Tyson II would be better then the first fight...but...how could it be worse? It was tha definition of a mismatch. And the "Tyson needed to fight 2 more opponents" excuse holds NO weight. If he needed to fight 2 more opponents to be ready for Lewis, then he shouldnt been fighting for the title, he didnt deserve the shot. But oh well, boxing politics once again takes center stage lol

--- Quote ---There may be one just because Tyson was such a good sport after the fight, but it won't draw as many people. Tyson fights still may be a PPV draw but not as much as it used to be.

Tyson being a "good sport" (lol@ Tyson the politician) at the end of the fight, will DEFINETELY hurt ticket sales if theres a second fight. People didnt order this fight to see a good fight, they ordered to see if Tyson would flip out. Tyson isnt good enough anymore to sell tickets based solely on his skill...so hes gotta turn it into a circus. Oh well...maybe the Tyson fans will stop living in the past now. LOL
