Musically?? Now Dre, he is close but even he can't see Quik musically if u ask me. Even though I don't wanna start a big spin off debate, I'll say Quik has an edge when it comes to straight music. Now RZA, even though I haven't heard as much from him as from Quik and Dre and Primo, him and Alchemist are DJ's just as premier, and as far as music composition they can't fucc with Quik either.

Quik for me. Just recently started peepin Gangstarr, and becoming a big Premo fan. So in a year that answer could change.

For straight up hiphop Premo no doubt.

For shit to dance to Quik no doubt.

U can't compare them, they the two best at what they do as producers. Dre ain't nowhere near Quik in my opinion, he's slower and half his shit is not even touching most of Quik's beats. Oh and Premo is still a producer. Just cause he doesn't play the instruments doesn't mean he ain't a producer, what he does takes just as much skill as what Quik does.
