Just wondering about DETOX...

Its been a long time coming for this album, and still, no REAL news on it!  Im wondering whats going on, and when the fuck its coming out...

Im also wondering what the sequence of releases is going to be at Aftermath.  Dre has confirmed he's exec. producer  for the next Eve album(which is bullshit IMO), then theres going to be Eminem album, Im sure hes gonna work some more with Xzibit and 50, maybe even Snoop(if he's lucky), then theres The Game? and Cube?...

To put it simply, Im wondering what the fuck is going on over there at Aftermath...Dre should start consentrating on DETOX IMO instead of putting all his time into other artists...I think its about time to drop another one, and I cant keep my hopes up for too long without losing my hopes (ex. Rakim)...

If anyone has any news Im not aware of, please fill me in, If not, feel free to coment.

i actually dont mind the long waits between dre albums cuz when the next one comes its been so long, it just makes it better.

Yep. That said, I'd rather not have a Chronic - Chronic 2001 wait... although I wouldn't be entirely surprised if that's what we get...

To be honest i don't even think about Detox as an "upcoming" album to get hyped about. It's not like, say, the WSC or Eastsidaz albums, which you know are cming soon. Detox is more this mythical record  - all we've got is the title. I won't even start looking forward to it until we hear a single... it's a waste of energy getting hyped otherwise

I love Dre's music and his only true solo albums have sold around 10 million total....It's just that you have to wait soooo long for him.  One things for sure, whenever it comes out (probably next year this time) it will be FIRE.  Since Dre is not really a solo artist (he always has so many collaborations) it would be necessary to include certain artists while they are hot (50 Cents, G-Unit).  So in my mind, now is the time....But Dre knows what he is doing.

Here's what I think......

I think Eminem's, Cube's, and Dre's albums are all gonna come out within a 6 month period.  Then they'll go on tour again.  If Dre's smart, that's what he'll do.  That's where the money is.  In 2000 Dre made 52 million dollars.  That's a million dollars a week.  That's basically because of the Up In Smoke Tour.  If he want's to see that type of money again, he'll have to go on tour.

I don't anticipate this album at all.   I think it is too many years away to anticipate.  I bet a million bucks its gonna be at least 2 years before it drops.  we haven't heard shit about detox.  no samples, no tracklist, no guests, nothing pretty much.  yeah I read about his concepts for it, and how mvm beats were pre detox or something, blah blah blha.  remember back when chronic 2001 dropped.  we new a year ahead of time.  saw hella tracklist, heard hella rumors, heard songs, suge stole the title, etc.

To be reaaal, I expect this to come out between Winter 2004-Spring 2005.........damn tho, do u kno how far away that is??? I'll be a junior in college, that is a helluva long time.

Also, I hope he drops it this summer. What could make a summer better in L.A. than havin the Lakers win the championship again, then havin a Dre album to bump on sunset and crenshaw after they win?
