Minidisc Players

k i know somebody whos selling one pretty cheap and i wanna buy it off him but want this Q answered before i do....

1, Can u record on any Minidisc player? e.g if i use my jack-2-jack cable and plug one end in the mic/line in port on my pc and the other end in whatever socket on the minidisc does it record...

also can someone hook me up with a site or a reply with some info on minidisc players cos i aint got a clue because i aint never owned one (p.s its a portable minidisc player similar to this one: http://i8.ebayimg.com/01/i/00/36/d1/09_1.JPG

no, not all minidisc players record, you have to make sure u see a  recording function/button on the player itself. usually there is an "R" in the name of the product model, to signify that it records. like i have a MDr and it the model is like sony mdR-91 , or some shit. how much is he selling it for? u might be better off with a mp3 player.

aight, yeah its got a record button on it, his knockin it out (no homo lol) real cheap, £25, im lookin at mp3 players but they kinda expensive so im gonna cop this cos my tape player is dying lol, props for the reply homie.

Try getting one of those brand new mp3-minidisc players.
You just connect it to the PC with Firewire or USB and upload it to the minidisc.
They look dope, but I would consider a Ipod or Creative Jukebox though..
