i would have to say this is one of johnny depps best movies...in fact everyone in this did a damn good job...even enrique iglesias...at first i thought this movie seemed like it was gonna suck...and then i got really into it (the beginning seemed cheesy but in the end made sense)...definetely go see this if you havent already.

who cares about desperado...yes it was a good movie but this isnt desperado...its like when people compare mr. deeds to billy madison...it was two totally different types of movies...this movie was supposed to have a little comedy in it and be a little stupid...and it was and it was damn good because of it.

i thought it paled in comparison to Desperado.  Like the other posters said, it is more of a drug/DEA movie...but it seemed even like a waste to use the Antonio Banderas character.   They should have just had the movie about Johhny Depp, it seemed like the Despearado character was tacked on (even tho Rodriguez made both movies.)

how would they leave his character out? lol...he was supposed to kill that general after he killed the president because they didnt want the general to come into power...and they had to use antonio banderas' character because he had a motive to kill the general...didnt u get that out of the movie?

its one of those movies where you're either gonna go "God damn this movie is dope" or your gonna go "god damn the director was on crack"....but there are also a lot of people who see that this movie is set in mexico and blah blah blah and automatically have to compare it to desperado and blah blah fuckin blah...maybe they should think about it this way....ITS NOT FUCKING DESPERADO!
