My mom is really into gettin me a car...so whenever she stops somewhere she takes auto trader magz and shit like that. Well this morning she went out for bagels and came home with a mag and while I was sleepin she went thru and circled some cars that are in our price range...and cars she thinks I would like.

One of the cars she circled was a 1996 Eclipse RS, for $3995 w/126000 miles. We started talking about going to look at it bcoz its only like a town away. My dads like "Ok...We will go on Sunday so that the dealers dont come up to us and ask us 38937493 questions". So I didnt really care which day. I would have rather gone today (Saturday) so I make sure that my tall ass can even get into the car.

I leave...come back a few hours later and my mom is like "Dad doesnt want to buy a car for another year". He always fuckin does this shit. He gets me all hyped up and then when I leave hes like "The kid doesnt even have his permit yet. Im looking to get a car a month or so before he gets his liscense". I can understand the entire liscense part, but why the hell cant I just get the damn car and hook it up while it sits in the garage? I could see if my dad was payin for it, but a few months ago my parents wanted to buy a boat so they borrowed 8 grand from my grandma. They paid her back 4 grand.....so my grand ma said that they can keep the 4k and put it towards my car, and then she would give me 1-2 grand more. That covers my car. My mom told my grandma that the car was 5k so she would give us an extra thousand and we could pay for the insurance.

Plus..It wouldnt just be sitting in the garage. Im working on gettin a job, so when I get paid im going to put some $$ towards the car for like a wing, kit, system, etc. and im sure that my mom would drive it bcoz its cheaper than a Durango when it comes to gas.

What do you guys think of the whole situation?

thats sux but funny... im gettting my car when 6 months before my 16 b-day so i can fix it up its g0nna be a caddy or if my grandpa dont give it to me then i my mom has a Cobra Mustang BOUGHT but its at my uncle WIllies cuzz he is a macanic and is gonna fix it but he need 5000 for sum parts to fix it so if my mom dont fix it imma save up money and byu the parts and get it fixed   and she said if i do that she will give it to me...

Well...We went and looked at the car. Its too small for me. Im 6ft and I barely had any knee room and the steering wheel didnt move.

So, I saw a Dodge Avenger and I fell in love with it. Its awesome.

man just feel lucky your getting a car even if you have to wait...i was lucky enough to get a nice car too...but some people have their license and still dont have one or are stuck driving some little peice of shit that they bought for 300 dollars and put 2000 in to get it to even run.
