ok here's a quick history lesson........

way back when i was young (*sigh*) i saw diego marradonna score a goal against england in the world cup semi that put them through to the final... one thing.... this goal was a blatant hand ball... and it went unchecked... its now notorious as the 'hand of god' goal.

roll on to the last world cup.. they knocked us out again.. this time  through dirty tricks and unchecked fouls...

now an argentinian player has broken david beckhams ankle last night.....

Maradona was the greatest, he was passionate about the game, thus the hand of God, he wanted success that much, i cant hold it against him. He was crazy to watch, amazing runs, he could run the length of the pitch with the ball less then a foot away at all times, and still take on opponents. if he wasnt always off his face on drugs he would have been universally recognise as the greatest ever. A privelage to watch.

Anyway, Fuck Argentina (except Batistuta) their famous for rugged defenders, it was no suprise that little grease ball slid through Beckham, i reckon he'll be fit in time for the last group match anyway, if we're any good we should have qualified by then anyway, but i did say 'IF'...
