Rappers who give obscure props in Songs
« on: November 23, 2003, 09:08:32 PM »
Anybody got any good lines where a rapper bites another rapper as a way to give props?

I just heard this one, it's tight as hell, from Westside Connect's "You gotta have heart"

WC - "I sit alone in my 4 cornered room loadin' Ammo"

LOL

(Scarface 10 years ago said over the intro to The Ghetto Boy's my mind's playing tricks on me, 'I sit alone in my 4 cornered room starin' at candles')

It's crazy to track the progression of music. I wonder if War ever thought that '4 cornered room' would have the effect on people that it did.

Not obscure, but I liked on Some L.A. Niggaz how each first line was modified from a classic West Coast song:
Time Bomb's line was from Pharcyde's "Passin Me By"
King T's was NWA's "Straight Outta Compton"
Hittman's was Cube's "Jackin for Beats"
Xzibit's was Volume 10's "Pistol Grip Pump"
Defari's was Ice T's "6 n the mornin"

Didn't realise that. Haven't listened to 2001 for ages though.
