Self Scientific - Change, New Album, Out In March!!

Shit, right after the Planet Asia update, I'm already back with some exclusive info on Chace Infinite, member of Self Scientific, who are just putting the finishing touches on the follow up to their banging album "The Self Science".
The new album is called "Change", and it is being mixed as we speak. Chace & DJ Khalil, who produced the entire album except for one song done by DJ Muggs, are releasing the album through their independent label "Angeles Records" hopefully in March of 2004.
Well the production is already bound to be smashing, and next to Chace's amazing skills on the mic, we'll hear guest appearances by Krondon, Phil Da Agony, Combo, Talib Kweli (on the song "Tears" and more.
"In my eyes, this album is more developped, the album has more of a concept. It's more mature. I'm not saying that the other one wasn't, but I feel this one has a better structure, and more mature as a whole.", Chace said about the album. When asked about the sound of the record, he said that "This one has less latin and jazz influences, it is funkier, more soulful.".

We will keep you updated on any happenigs around this project, and also look to hear both Chace & Khalil on the Strong Arm Steady album. Khalil will most likely be handling the majority of the production on the album, so it should be a heater!
The Strong Arm Steady crew also recently hooked up with german rapper Raptile on a song, we will try to bring it to you when we get our hands on it. It's produced by DJ Khalil and features Phil Da Agony, Krondon and Xzibit.

Stay tuned!

This is gonna be a dope album no doubt, plus they got Kweli on there, so i'll definitely be picking this one up.

Good shit ;D

Most hip-hop is now keyboard driven, because the majority of hip-hop workstations have loops and patches that enable somebody with marginal skills to put tracks together,...

Unfortunately, most hip-hop artists gravitated towards the path of least resistance by relying on these pre-set patches. As a result, electric guitar and real musicians became devalued, and a lot of hip-hop now sounds the same.

doooope! Self-Science is a dope ass album, i'm sure they can make another. The problem with Self-Scientific is, they get NO exposure anywhere. I've been a hip hop fan for years, and i only heard about them 2 months ago.. and i live in LA, where the duo is from
