Some ish I wrote to a girl about Islam
Political Gangsta:
I'm very happy that you appreciated and understood my last e-mail. This new e-mail illustrates ideas currently unfamiliar to you as I attempt to explain why your family is the way it is. I am not asking you to agree or disagree with all that I am saying, just objectively wiegh it on it's own merit. Your story and family history, although unique in detail, is typical in the larger scope of American life. Let me explain...
A capatalistic, democratic society like America, will always be divided economically and socially. Amongst rich, poor, and the middle-class. It is also divided in terms of power and influence. Our forefathers knew this when they were writing the constitution. So a great effort had to be made by those in power to pacify and maintain order amongst the common people. You have been given a number of freedoms, voting, rights to speach and protest, and they have even tried to tell you as a kid, "hey, you can be president, or you could be the richest person in the world." You were shown movies growing up. Movies that showed the underdog, the common man, beeting the odds to achieve greatness. And if you couldn't be powerful in business or politics, why, you could fall in love, be a great athlete, artist, or musician, or party your fuckin brains out, hey, why not, this is the land of the free. Then, later in life, after you've gained a certain level of maturity and sense of reality, you come to find that 1% of society is richer then the other 95% combined. And that great musicians and athletes only achieve their fame and fortune on the strength of the millions beneath them who supply them with a platform and audience.
It may also be true that when one turns to love and family for their piece of the American dream: In place of love, trust, and community, their is instead, alchohol, drug, spousal, and child abuse. To take their minds off of their low position in life, their bosses at work, who have bosses above them, their bosses, and so on--- Even if you get the oppurtunity to reach the top of the social and economic ladder--- The American Dream of wealth and power you may still have wholes in your soul the size of a dry lake bed. Because whether the dream is achieved, short lived, or virtually unatainable, the American Dream is a farce, an illusion. An illusion that has been neatly packaged to sell to the world in order to maintian a united front.
True devinity, turst, love, brotherhood, and community can only come through the knowledge of the Oneness of your Creator. You can search high and low for the love projected on the big-screen of the movie theatre. But much of the Western version of love is really lust. When one is truely in love they posess an innate ability to see past the person. They want for their partners everything and more then they want for themselves.
A religion that teaches submission to the Oneness of the creator can unalterably change and liberate the mind from the frustrating grasp of whatever devils posess it. It brings an added dimesion of brotherhood and sisterhood through equality amongst man. And equality amongst all the great prophets, Abraham, Moses, Jesus, Muhammad, etc. all of which were themselves men. Nothing is greater then that which has created the Universe, and thus everything in it. Islam, is the natural religion of man, the true devine nature of man. At birth you are natural, true, devine, as devinely giuded as the sun that rises at it's prescibed time each and every morning. Only through the debasement of society can this state be corrupted. So we are in great need of our Creator, who we call Allah or God. Islam is a religion which is not associated with any person, people, period, or place. It is the way of nature, the religion of man. In every age, in every country and among every people. All God-knowing and truth loving men and women have believed and lived this very religion. They were all Muslims, irrespective of whether they called that way Islam. Whatever it's name was, it signified Islam and nothing but Islam. All praises to Allah (God) the most high. The Creator and sustainer of the World. There is no like unto him.

I agree with what you're saying upto when you start talking about how islam and Allah are the peoples saviour, i personnally see religion as another way of drugging the masses. This gives the people another false "world" the only way people can truly be happy is in a socialist world, in my opinion.
King Tech Quadafi:
^thats a valid opinion, but to each their own

Give me an example of a socialist society. Because you could infact be right, I'm not disputing what your saying. From my perspective though, man has a natural inclination towards his creator. Religion broken down to it's roots means, "Re"-bind "Ligre"-Back. And nothing is truly worthy of worship but the Creator, the Most High.
Trauma-san:
Good email, but make sure you don't talk down to the girl, I kinda saw it that way, hopefully she didn't. Good luck.
