I haven't heard much of Proof besides when he's with D12, but I'm not really feelin' him a whole lot. I like him, but I think he's way overrated. And he seems kinda big-headed too.

When Proof released that EP I couldn't wait for his new album. But the last 2 songs he released (Many Men & E.S.H.A.M) were dickriding 50's style. If he doesn't come back with more pure-hip-hop I won't be checking his album.

Most hip-hop is now keyboard driven, because the majority of hip-hop workstations have loops and patches that enable somebody with marginal skills to put tracks together,...

Unfortunately, most hip-hop artists gravitated towards the path of least resistance by relying on these pre-set patches. As a result, electric guitar and real musicians became devalued, and a lot of hip-hop now sounds the same.
