i need some help from any1 who lives in or has been to sydney australia. im leaving for sydney tonite and i wanna buy some music coz we dont get shit in india. im looking for stuff like dj quik (especially Visualism), up in smoke tour dvd, rappin 4-tay, SSC (probably wont get that). if yall could just tell me the name of the store and wat locality it is in, would be gr8. pls help. thx

go to soul sense music in the city on G3/624 george street.
they specialise in hip hop/rnb/soul/jazz/regae . thats the cd's they sell there.
they get all the imports from america, and local too
when you get to sydney, here's their phone number:
9264 5372

and then there's the big music store chain "HMV MUSIC" which has stores all over metropolitan Sydney.
they get alot of rap cd's. they even get dpg recordz releases their now. plus they get alot of those hiphop dvd's like snoop, 2pac , 50cent, jay z, dj quik, xzibit kurupt and so on.

yeah soul sense fucks u up and send you home with your wallet empty... but try that tiny lil store at the bus/train station interchange in Chatswood. Theyve got like this little record store and theyve got all kinds of shit! I saw the Dj Quik - Visualism DVD, the Jayo Felony album and some other Quik stuff.... gotta go back there

yeh, i dont buy cd's from soul sense any more, coz they charge too much.
i order all the imported cd's from cduniverse.com now, plus i think that cduniverse gets all the underground albums like dpg recordz releases alot quiker than when they come out at soul sense.
i used to buy cd's from soul sense ages ago when they used to have another store location at parramatta, but they closed that one down. and after then is around the time when they raised up the prices by alot, coz when i went to the city store a couple years ago, all the prices were like 45 bucks for an imported cd. im like fuck that i aint buyin from there no more.
there used to be another hiphop store in blacktown called 'organised noize' but that closed down too. and they got another store at burwood, but i dont know if its still there tho.

there's another hiphop specialty cd store in the city called 'anthem music' . dont know how good they are, coz i never bought anything from there.

my advise is that you buy all your hard-to-get or import cd's and dvds from cduniverse.com . and localy manufactured cd's of 50cent and so on,.. go to HMV music. thats the best advice i can give you
