This is my first post in this forum... but I feel like speaking

Today we have a lot of people fighting to terminate any racial prejudice that our world holds. We see in songs that people cry out "I’m black and I’m proud". Statements like these are considered as fights for freedom and a fight to get rid of racism… and that’s the way they should be considered as they lift the spirits of black people and may open the eyes of some white people. It’s important with these fights for freedom still, because even though many think racism don’t exist any more… it does.

But sometimes people who wants to do contribute to this fight for equality approaches the issue wrongly. I’ve heard in alot of songs “I’m black and proud, my people are suppressed because of the white cracker”. Now this will not contribute to the struggle in a positive way. By saying things like that some white people will respond because they feel stepped on, and what’s the best way to counterattack? Attack what he’s fighting for, attack his colour. Now racism has taken a step further down the ladder of equality between the races.

What needs to be done now is forget about the past and embrace the future… everybody has to proud of their own races. That means that I, as a white person, can say “I’m white and I’m proud” without being considered a racist. Why shouldn’t I be proud of my colour? Because of what white people did to black people ages ago?

If I’m ashamed of my colour it should be because I feel ashamed of what my race did to black people, but if I’m ashamed of that I will also have a totally different attitude towards black people, I will be too careful not to say the wrong things and I will never be able to open up my mind to see beyond their colour.

So I believe that in order to embrace others, we must first embrace ourselves. By loving my colour I start on a new chapter, I stop thinking about the past and start thinking about the future, I’m not saying we should forget about the past but we should put some more focus on the future. When I love my race I will also love all other races.

So I’m going to say this loud: I’m white and I’m proud… and I love all of you!

thats right my man... we used swedes as slaves...  ;)

but on the real thats what im saying... if we keep holding eachother responsible for what has happened a long time ago, we will never see peace

LoL... Denmark was a part of sweden back in the day... ;D.. so we prettty much pimped denmark out :o

Crazy to think about that europe once was almost united. Denmark had some of sweden and norway, alot of the eastern erupean countries, nearly all of germany and all of england...
and now we don't have shit...lol

but lets get back on topic
