Jail

'jail fucks up their lives even more'

yeah, and thats mainly the way they want u to see it, so u'll never wanna go there urself, so in a way, that can be sed as one of the positive sides of thingz.

and, privileges as a citizen are taken away cos outside u didn't wanna stick to the law like citizens shud, so u aint treated like ur a citizen, so i suppose i agree with that too.

and for tax evasion, there are lots of things in ur everyday life that u take for granted that most countries don't have, mainly cos it's funded by the government using your money from taxes, so why shud ppl take advantage of them things wen ur payin for them? it basically boils down to being a kind of steeling from every other citizen in ur state/country, and therefore shud carry the same consequences as steeling, so i do think jail is the answer is jail if u don't pay it off after u have been formely warned, cos if ur over 18 and workin, just rememba that these ppl are basically steeling from u.

there are petty things that they send ppl to jail for tho, sumtimes its really unfair, sumtimes jail really isn't the answer.

I spent a year inside, and it turnt my life around, i was given opportunities that i had initially turned down in the outside world (a decent education, the chance to refind my religion etc), and i met some serious cats, you know, some real evil cunts who scared me and that helped me realise that i had to get my ish straight. So for me it was a pretty sobering experience, one i needed at the time.

But the judicial systems in most countries need revising imo, alot of the time they get the wrong people or straight up let real evil people off and shit, and until these systems are sorted the proposed 'World Court' will never work as it contradicts so many participating countries laws.

For the people that think jail is fair, do you really think people should have to waste years of their lives for a stupid decision or mistake they made.  I don't think humans should have the right to play with peoples lives like that.  You should read about some cases and see how juries can be really unfair.

True, I believe rehabilitation should be attempted first. If the person doesn't want to change then they should get locked up.

I think any crime which does not harm anyone else but the perpetrator, such as drug abuse and fraud, should not meet jail time.
