The Pope has done alot of good.  

He has also condemned Gulf War 1 and Gulf War 2 and asked that the American government look into the roots of terrorism. (for example, occupation of Palestine, proxy wars and puppet governments, sanctions, embargo's, troops stationed in 100 countries around the world)

^Yeah... he's also propped up the idea that sex is a sin.  So he's hit and miss.
