does any1 remember "The Chronic II" off ebay?
« on: February 06, 2004, 12:59:45 PM »
does anyone remember that cd "the chronic II" (by dre of course), where it was pretty much the same exact cover as 'the chronic' but said 'the chronic II' at the bottom? it had green writing too, i think, instead of the normal blue on the cover.....but i think it was supposedly an unreleased cd with remixes that never saw the light of day...except for a few copies that ended up on ebay about 3 or 4 years ago, i haven't seen anything since then....

I doubt that was it though. The only track did for the Chronic II were like California Love and that was given to 'Pac. Dre never got to complete it.

i just remember bidding on it, and losing it to somebody who paid like 80 dollars for it....but i remember it vividly and how official it looked.....i could be wrong, but i remember someone posted it here, and that's where i got the link to bid for it.....anyone remember?

yeah I remember that shit, they had it at a local hip hop shop.  Really wish I would have bought it... it had the "whats the Difference" with Hittman instead of Xzibit

Speaking of The Chronic 2, how much news was ever known about it (the Death Row release I mean)?

All I remember is that late 95, when Westwood did one of those braodcast telephone calls with some guy in the US, this dude said the big news was that Dre would release his new album on  Death Row in the New Year. He also said it was called The Chronic 2: Poppa's Got A Brand New Funk (never heard this anywhere else but this guy). Next it was advertised in All Eyez On Me, then Dre left Tha Row...

...was anything else ever known about it? I would have given my right arm for another Dre album on DR :)

I remember that quite a long time ago (a year or so) an album's worth of Dre tracks leaked. People were all wondering if it was from a new album, but some people commented that the songs sounded quite old. Maybe they were cuts that were supposed to go ''Chronic II'' ??? BTW, you guys will just have to trust me on this one as I don't have the Dr. Dre songs that leaked (for some bizarre reason I never downloaded them - damn, I wish I did :'( ). I vaguely remember (please don't quote me on this one because my memory of this is pretty fuzzy) a track by Dre f/ Snoop & Sam Sneed...uh, I think so anyway. Anyone have any idea what I'm talking about ???

Wasnt it called 'Purple Haze' or some shit?

Blueberries OG is Sam Sneed ft. Snoop (not sure how Dre contributed, maybe SOME production) - I think this may be the song Sneed charged Snoop for, causing some of the beef

Theres also Lady Herion OG on their, Sneed and J Flexx, and some Nas joints
