Kings in BC were even called The Son Of God
infinite59:
I was reading an analysis of the Dead Sea Scrolls. It was a Judeo-Christian author and he mentioned that the description of Jesus as the Son of God, was not uncommon nor unique. He pointed out that in BC times, Kings were often referred to as sons of God which only meant, "highly annointed."
Trauma-san:
I am a son of god, they call me that every sunday in chutch. Everyone on earth is a son or daugher of god. Jesus was the physical son of god. It's two different things.
Don Jacob:
jesus was also called the son of man and the lamb of god...
Doggystylin:
--- Quote ---I am a son of god, they call me that every sunday in chutch. Everyone on earth is a son or daugher of god. Jesus was the physical son of god. It's two different things.
--- End quote ---
how do you know they meant it in that way though, i mean what if jesus said something like that and didnt mean he was the physical son of god but just the way we are all sons of god, and the people he told it to misunderstood and wrote the bible
Don Jacob:
read the new testiment and you'll see why
