The Rap World Exsposed

white Boy:
^^^ yea that snoop shit is funny, but makes a good point, why dont all rapers have good lyrics, if they all have a great ghost writer behind them>???

Smoke:
LMAO.

N-Sane Brain:
Man, this was a damn interesting read. I'm sure this is true to a special degree, I actually think that most of that is true. But what I don't really think is the thing that so many rappers got their "writing pools", because I think that this dude is not the only one who would feel bad if he would be clowned like this, and so (if this would be true) I'm sure somebody before him would've exposed that yet. Especially in the case of rappers like Eminem or Nas, who are glorified for "their" lyrical skills.

--- Quote from: KURUPTION-81 on February 16, 2004, 11:12:42 AM ---...A&R B and Rapper B and a few exec's have a meeting and now Rapper B is hit with REALITY. A&R B explains the real music business and gives Rapper B a choice, either walk out that door and be forever blackballed or the alternative.

You remember Rapper A, right?? Rapper B has been hit with the reality that he will never be a star. Rapper B just sent in about 10 songs to A&R B which were purchased and now will be on Rapper A's album. Rapper B is now merely part of a writing pool, he will continue to make songs under the supervision of an A&R, only not for himself, for everyone else. Now Rapper B sends about 10-20 songs to Rapin-U-Records every 3 months and now Rapper A, Rapper X, Rapper J and Singer T go through Rapper B's material as well as the other hundred's of Rappers and Singers that are merely writing pools material and pick which song they want on their album...
--- End quote ---

^^ That facts made me stunned, I hope it isn't true, because that would be fucked up in an unbelievably way :-\ Thanks for postin' this...

There might be sum truth to it and there might be more ghostwriting goin on than we know about, but I definitely don't believe all of this. Why do we get this shockin ass exposure from a guy nobody ever heard of when there's so many "Rapper A"'s that 1. got dropped and are 2. just as frustrated and 3. don't have a reason for shuttin up?

We hear/read so many stories about "Rapper A"'s bout how they used to be dope in the past by people who are not part of the industry...Hence, why should the industry feel obliged to give those really talented cats ghostwriters when they could easily write their own shit? Cause it makes them more evil and fake lol?

Also that thing bout takin people out of the burbs and inventin fake biographies bout how they are from the pj's and shit...you really think nobody who knows any of these cats from way back would speak up. Like Mobb Deep really used to live in the Hamptons and Loud invented that QB shit to get em a deal, payed off sum ghostwriters and forced em to rap their lyrics, now nobody says shit? ::)

And why don't those cats who0 wanted to write their own albums and know ain't gonna drop say shit either?

really, sum things might be true, but to me this looks like sumbody's frustrated and/or paranoid and typed that shit up to get sum attention

Nice read.  Could be true.  Probably true.  But yeah...  You would think that artists would be coming with alot better lyrics and that the beats would be much tighter if they were choosing from such a large pool of songs and beats.   Still though, this makes alot of sense.
