Kanye West - College Dropout
On The Edge of Insanity:

I would consider NO Way out by P Diddy as a classic, and i only like about 6 songs........

That makes no sense at all, how can you only like 6 songs on an album and call it classic?
bez:
dope album. I gie it 10/10. Skits are dumb as fuck but you find em on most albums nowadays.
teecee:
Well, perhaps i could call it a classic because of the impact, the amazing singles, the fact it was THE album of '97. I mean, ya, there are some very average songs on NO Way Out, and maybe i like few more than 6.
My point being, not all classic albums are flawless, and not all flawless albums are classics..........like people saying kanye's album isnt classic because of the skits and a song or two is stupid. No one said that about the Chronic because of the skits and Lyrical Gangbang..

But it's just too much on College Dropout, 6 skits and a couple of weak songs make 8 skippers outta 20, that's damn near half the album. It just ruins it for me. The Chronic has 2 skipper outta 16 (for me, I like "Lyrical Gangbang") which isn't too bad, and an album like The Chronic is going to have way more impact then College Dropout.
And the "not all classic albums are flawless, and not all flawless albums" is correct. Nas' The Lost Tapes is flawless but no classic and Ready To Die is classic but not flawless.
...'BfCfC'...:
i give the whole album 9/10
i like "never let me down" and "breathe in breathe out"
nice review anyways
