Some of the dudes back at the other forum i'm signed to say that 2pac is overated (or just garbage). What do u have to say to them? I'll post a thread with your responses, and I'll post there responses, and so on.

He is overrated. That doesn't mean he's not good. He was good up until that All Eyez on Me commercial garbage. His posthumous stuff is repetitive with only a few exceptional tracks. However, his early stuff was good and Me Against the World was great (yet not one of the best hiphop albums of the 90s or anything).

2pac is in no way shape or form "wack"...he is however overrated as fuck.

pac is dope...i love 90% of his music...with the exception of all eyes on me...that shit was garbage...had some good party tracks but nothing worthwhile.

STILL the highest selling hip hop artist of all time
First ever jailed man to have the countrys #1 album
First ever rap artist to put out a double album
Every album either went gold or platinum.
Has had multi-platinum success since death without the help of heavy promotion
ONLY rapper to use more than 50% of his earnings to the streets and to fund charity organisation groups to help those less fortunate

In reality tho:

2Pac may not have had the greatest Words on a mic, but his passion and desire to change and better the world from the poverty homelessness & rasism spoke volumes and he used his achieved status as the most popular artist to teach and direct people in the right direction and see the real truth. Like David Blane ~ who tries to show that Magic is not just entertainment but is an art. Much like 2Pac, who didn't see his work as entertainment but as an art from used to elivate into other peoples mind into stragestique thinking. He was one of a kind and no other rapper (who are just rappers) can come close to the man that 2Pac was, that captured his fans hearts, which is why he is classsed as the greatest!

you cant...but homie above you explained it perfectly...pac wasnt the greatest off all time on the mic...but he probably had the most heart out of any rapper ever to come out.

though i dont agree with some of the things he listed being reasons...he was right...but these make no sense:
