Nas Is Retiring
« on: March 02, 2004, 12:30:41 AM »
Apparently from what I hear (although the source isn't too relaible at times) is that Nas has been working a lot lately or at least has been since the release of God's Son, and that when he retires, which could be sooner than you all think, will have albums released even though he is retired, which will see the release of Lost Tapes II, Heaven Scent etc.

if nas retired he would officially lose the nas/jay-z battle because its exactly what jay-z did. therefore nas will not retire anytime before the next 4 albums are released by him atleast.

Are you joking?  Cause that's a pretty stupid statement if you're not.

I want Nas to deliver evertime but he doesn't every time Sage does. so Sage gets my $15 regardless or his status. fuck your status perception and labels you use.

Don't shoot the guy giving the stuff he heard. Word is he thinks it's more artistic to have his work released without him having any involvment, doesn't mean he's no longer gonna have cd's with his name on it, just that we wont see or hear from him. This is just rumour - this isn't official - remember that! One thing I know for sure is that he's been working hard over the past year. This could be for material needed for future albums when and if he does retire

ive heard for a while that he was talking about retiring but assumed that it was just a rumor since he supposed to be putting out quite a few releases in the coming future.

I think Nas thinks that for a piece of worked to be classed & labelled poetic, it must assume the rightful position to be brought out to the masses without his doing, or being here. I think that's why he would decide so. I only heard from a source that's all
