Coca-Cola EXPOSED for RACISM (story inside)

<< < (2/3) > >>

Xivart:
It is racist because it is one gigantic stereotype, not to mention it has historic roots. Large marketing firms do heavy amounts of research before beginning a project, so they knew about the past history of black figurines.

They are trying to attract Blacks, but the problem they are doing it by trying to make Blacks see themselves urban pimps with broken slang and outlandish hair. They want Blacks to make characters like thirst become an accepted self-image, while in the process trying to give everyone else a good laugh - all at the expense of the Black man. It is very similar to the sambos and mammies of the past. Here is a link to a video including some of them (if you have dial up, it may take a couple minutes to load. it is 2.6 MB) ......

I know white people deny racism because they don't want to be associated with it, but if you are white, it doesn't mean you are guilty by association. Trying to bury racism and pretending as if it does not exist is not an option, not to mention it shows you are in serious denial. Minorities have to endure racism everyday, so when someone tries to imply that racial issues should be left alone, it is both insulting and indicative of a lack of understanding for the matter.

Javier:
its called marketing.

What style of music is the most popular right now? Yes, Hip Hop. Will all the soda companies still run commercials and ads that are from the 80s? HELL NAH that would be stupid and corny for most viewers. So what do they decide to do? See whats hot right now whether its Britney Spears, lil Penny HArdaway, or whatever.  OR getting LL Cool J and RUN DMc in their commercials or even Missy Elliot. They are trying to be hip to sell
