i ust to get a similar problem. when i went onto certain websites they would start to load then this search engine would come up with can't find the site. happenned on ebay so much i just stopped going on ebay. although i think its gone now.

btw i use ad-aware and it wouldn't detect it, plus i also cleared my tempory internet files and history but none of that worked (which was quite annoying cos i lost all my cookies and had to try and remember passwords what a bitch!). i'm just glad its gone even tho i dunno how i got rifd of it.

LOL, thats what you get for visiting all those porn sites.  Porn sites infect your computer with all kinds of fuckin bullshit.  your gonna have to go to system config and find the file and delete it.  could be dangerous and you could delete something very important tho.  When I had that problem, I just reformatted my hard drive.

here is a tip to make things easier:

get 2 harddrives, and only load up your operating system on one, and only minamal other things, like your video card drivers, sound card drivers, etc.  keep everything else on your other harddrive: music, movies, games, pics, etc.

If you can't get 2 harddrives, you can do the same thing with one harddrive.  You just have to partition it in dos, and it will basically make it into 2 harddrives.

the cool thing about this is, when ever you get problems, just reformat your HD with the OP system on it, and reload windows.  really doesn't take that long at all, and you don't have to worry about losing anything important, but it makes it eazy to get rid of problems.
