Peace Comrades,

Yes, we know it has been a while since we last reached out,
but they say good things come to those who wait.  Thanks for
all of your support and patience!

We’ve been hard at work in the lab making quality
entertainment products and are set to bring HEAT the second
half of 2004.

Music News:

-- Paris is nominated for a California Music Award for Best
Rap Album with “Sonic Jihad.”
See: http://www.californiamusicawards.com/index.php?nav=nominees.
Effective April 1, 2004, the public is encouraged to vote
for their favorite artists at www.californiamusicawards.com
and to pick-up ballots at Northern California Safeway
locations after April 26, 2004.

-- On June 29th, “The Devil Made Me Remix” finally hits the
streets.  Many requests have come in from supporters to
www.guerrillafunk.com for the long versions of the hits and
hard-to-find, previously released one-off tracks that often
appeared on the b-sides of single releases. Includes
digitally remixed and mastered alternate versions and
previously unreleased material from the “The Devil Made Me
Do It” and “Sleeping With The Enemy” sessions.

-- Guerrilla Funk’s first DVD, “Hard Truth Soldier,” is
currently in production and features all of Paris’ videos,
select live performances, commentary, special features,
bonus videos of “Bush Killa,” “Coffee, Donuts & Death,” and
select tracks from “Sonic Jihad.”  Also includes new music.
It is a career-spanning mini-movie, and promises to raise
the bar for musical offerings in the DVD format.

-- T-Kash’s debut album, “Afterparty Music,” is near
completion, as is the latest offering from The Conscious
Daughters.  Both are scheduled for an early 3rd quarter
release.

-- Public Enemy’s “Rebirth Of A Nation” is also in
production and is RAW.  Stay tuned.

-- Hard Truth Soldiers compilations will be released this
year, and Volume 1 promises to make considerable noise.
Already committed are Paris, Public Enemy, The Coup, Dead
Prez, Immortal Technique, T-KASH, Kam, The Conscious
Daughters, MC Ren, and Zion-I, with more to come.

In Stores Now:

-- “Sonic Jihad,” the Deluxe Edition Reissues of the
classics “The Devil Made Me Do It,” “Sleeping With The
Enemy” and “Guerrilla Funk” are available now in stores, at
www.guerrillafunk.com, and through other fine online
retailers on freshly re-minted CD and limited edition,
2-disc gatefold vinyl!  The reissues have all been remixed

About Guerrilla Funk:

Guerrilla Funk Recordings is a company dedicated to the
rejection of the current corporate homogenization of hip-hop
and was born in 2002 out of necessity to counter the
stranglehold of censorship now plaguing the entertainment
industry. Guerrilla Funk is a fully self-contained entity
that creates cutting edge revolutionary music and video
entertainment products, including CDs, DVDs, vinyl
pressings, and apparel merchandise.  A portion of our
offerings can be sampled anytime at www.guerrillafunk.com,
as we offer video streaming and select mp3 files free to the
general public.  With an online subscriber base of over
100,000 members and monthly hits growing exponentially,
guerrillafunk.com has reached considerable underground
status as a destination for individuals who demand more from
their entertainment.

PLEASE SUBSCRIBE & ENCOURAGE OTHERS TO DO THE SAME FOR
UPDATES AND NEWS!

Bringin’ back to you what you miss in hip-hop -
GuerrillaFunk.com!

Most hip-hop is now keyboard driven, because the majority of hip-hop workstations have loops and patches that enable somebody with marginal skills to put tracks together,...

Unfortunately, most hip-hop artists gravitated towards the path of least resistance by relying on these pre-set patches. As a result, electric guitar and real musicians became devalued, and a lot of hip-hop now sounds the same.
