Was the Iraqi war good 4 the USA?

I dont belive in getting involved in foreign affairs unless those affairs are a threat to the U.S.  I believe Sadam was a threat to the U.S.  Sadam and his regime are nearly eliminated, thus the iraqi war was good for the U.S.
