Well the basic premise of praying 5 times a day is not to massage Allah's (swt) ego. Theoritically, the constant prayers allow for one to keep a constant connection. Lots of prayers makes it difficult to forget your Lord. Me, sometimes I don't pray 5 times a day (always at least 4 but occasionally I miss 1) but other times I pray up to 7, maybe 8 times. It keeps me grounded, allowing me to continually remember the guidance of Allah (swt).

Exactly.  Allah does not need anything from us.  One of his 99 Names is Al-Ghani, the Self-Sufficient.  As the Qur'an teaches us he needs nothing from us, but we are in great need of him.  Worshipping Allah, praying, fasting, traveling, giving, etc., in his cause is for our own benefit, so that we may become righteous and recieve the good in this life and the next.

Well I read this thing and I don't feel uncomfortable in any way by this bullshit.

'It is written in the Bible/Qu'ran that...'

Well that's why I allways take a piece of paper with me that reads 'God does not exist.'
Whenever a believer says it's the way it's described in the Bible or whatever holy book because that's how it's written, I say 'well, that's curious.....look what's written here...'

You'd say you religious people are somehow obsessed by 'proving' how 'true' your views are. Can't just accept other people don't neccesarily believe the same things as you or do you have to prove it to yourself time and time again?

'You reject thousands of Gods and I only one...and you call me the blasphemist?'

What would make your God any different from those gods you call fictional?

Think about those things when you're praying.

Have a good time. :-*

Because my God (Allah) is the highest power, most high (Al-Ali), the creator (Al-Khaliq) and sustainer of the Universe and everything in it.  As decreed in Al-Qu'ran Surah (Chapter) Ihklas:

"Say, He is Allah
The One and Only
Allah the Eternal Absolute
He begeteth not
Nor is He Begotten
And there is no like unto him"
