Canibus - Mic Club meets Rip the Jacker
« on: April 13, 2004, 09:57:19 PM »
Let's face it, "Rip the Jacker" wasn't perfect..

But peep game:
Add 5 tracks from Mic Club, 1 from Jedi Mind Tricks and you got a almost flawless album.. :

1. Intro
2. Cemantics
3. Genabis
4. Spartibus
5. Bis vs. Rip feat. Rip the Jacker (Inserted from Mic Club)
6. No return
7. Cenoir studies 02 (Inserted from Mic Club)
8. Curriculum 101 (Inserted from Mic Club)
9. Levitibus
10. Psych evaluation
11. Dr C Phd (Inserted from Mic Club)
12. Indisible
13. Tibetan black magicians ft. Jedi Mind Tricks (Inserted from Jedi Mind album)
14. Master Thesis (Inserted from Mic Club)
15. Outro (As outro, the first 2:20 minutes of "Poet Laureate II")

This would be as near classic as you can get, certainly better than RTJ, put this album together on your computer, and peep how ill this sounds..  8)

Point blank, anyone that thinks that Rip The Jacker is a classic is a groupie.

I want Nas to deliver evertime but he doesn't every time Sage does. so Sage gets my $15 regardless or his status. fuck your status perception and labels you use.

*fails to find any sign of causality*

I liked RTJ, and I think it's near classic, had sum minor flaws tho (Canibus talkin sum nonsense). But "Mic Club" was aight too, so take most tracks off RTJ, a few off MC, nuthin off "C True Hollywood Stories" and add "2nd Round KO" and "Patriots" and you got a pretty dope Canibus compilation

Classic or not -

Poet Laureate II is certainly one of the best songs ever.
Cause I don't care where I belong no more
What we share or not I will ignore
And I won't waste my time fitting in
Cause I don't think contrast is a sin
No, it's not a sin

How is it different from anything you hear on Mic Club?  It's just one long song with no chorus/hook/break, like every song on that album.

anyways, rtj is classic...it won't be recognized as a classic album for years to come for most people...i wouldn't change a thing about it...poet laureate II is rediculous, i have never heard a better track which just goes on forever and leaves me wanting more, and rtj's beats are flawless...mic club is real good, not classic but a strong 8/10, peace.
